Century began in 1943 when the four founders of the company realized they had 100 years of combined
geophysics and insrumentation background and training so they named the new company “Century”.
There were three divisions of the company at first.  A seismic division,
an  airborne   survey  division,   and  a  geophysical  logging  division.
Currently  the  only active division is the geophysical logging division.
Initially the logging instruments were analog, However, the increased
uranium  exploration  in  the  70’s   and  the  advent  of  the  personal
computer prompted the  president ,   John C. McGrath, to engineer a
digital   logging  system.
This  computerized  logging  system  revolutionized  the  shallow hole
market and catapulted the growth of Century Geophysical Corporation
in the late 70’s.  Since the manufacture of the 1st digital logging system
dubbed COMPULOG-1 Century has continually updated it’s
instrumentation up to the present day Compulog System VI.
Century Wireline services is the service component of the company with markets including Coalbed Methane,
Coal, Diamond, Gold, Oil Sands, Oil Shale, Shallow Oil and Gas, and Uranium.
The  geophysical  logging  division  designs   and  manufactures  its  own  equipment  to  collect  high  quality
geophysical logs in the  shallow  exploration  market.   Century  Geophysical  Corporation  has  been  able  to
compete in the market by providing quality data for it’s customers at prices significantly lower than the logging
services companys servicing the deep oil and gas exploration markets.  During the last few years Century has
enjoyed sales growth of more than 40%.  with  crews working in over 20 states and many countries.  Century
Wireline has acquired vast global experience  drawn from thousands of successfully completed projects. Our
company takes great pride in efficient service, competitive prices, accurate equipment, and dependable staff.
